Amici di Bologna 2017 | Venue & Program
The Venue
Many
Bolognesi will tell you that the annual Austrian Ball was one of the highlights of their student experience. This year, in celebration of Amici's 10
th anniversary, we are pleased to present our first
Amici di Bologna Austrian Ball in Washington, D.C., complete with traditional and contemporary dance music.
Amici di Bologna would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the support of our distinguished alumnus, Ambassador Wolfgang Waldner (B '81), who, as Austria's Ambassador to the U.S. has made it possible for us to hold this event at the Austrian Embassy in Washington D.C.
Our program includes our customary academic symposium featuring Johns Hopkins SAIS faculty.
- A "lively conversation" between faculty on the politics of populism with Q&A from the audience
- Networking cocktails
- Gourmet dinner served buffet-style with open seating for maximum mingling
- Live dance and classical Viennese music by "Sydney's Music" 8-piece orchestra
- A DJ on the covered terrace mixing contemporary tunes
- After-party at a Washington, D.C. venue
- Optional waltzing lessons organized by the International Club of D.C. For more information on dance lessons, click here.
