The UK Charitable Trust Fellowship
Established in 1991 in London by a group of Bolognesi alumni led by Jonathan Cooper (from the Bologna Class of 1981), the Bologna Center UK Charitable Trust was created to support SAIS Europe in advancing education, specifically by promoting its postgraduate programs in the UK. Its mission includes providing financial assistance such as scholarships and bursaries to British students attending the SAIS Europe.
In 1993, the Trustees of the Bologna Center UK Charitable Trust voted to establish an annual fellowship to help future generations of students from the United Kingdom pursue their studies at SAIS Europe. Funded collectively through alumni donations, the fellowship reflects the community?s ongoing commitment to supporting access to higher education.
In recent years, the importance of the UK Charitable Trust Fellowship has only grown, especially following the withdrawal of fellowship funding from the UK government.
Since its inception, the fellowship has supported 22 students.

Unfortunately, the value of the fellowship has declined in recent years, limiting our ability to support more than one or two students annually from across the United Kingdom. Your generosity is vital to sustaining the UK Charitable Trust Fellowship, and we hope you will consider contributing to this important initiative that opens doors for future British scholars.
Your gift is tax effective in the UK (for UK tax payers as well as dual US-UK tax payers) and can be made in several ways through our UK Charities: the Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University UK Charitable Trust and the JHU (USA) Foundation.
