FAQs
  1. Can I register onsite?
No. Online registration is open until the day prior to the event.

  2. How do I register a guest?
Begin the registration by entering your class year and contact information. At the end of your registration you will be asked if you would like to add a guest. If your guest is not a SAIS Europe alumnus/a, please indicate your own class year. This will ensure that your guest is counted among the participants at your class dinner.

  3. My guest is also an alumna/us. Does s/he need to complete a separate registration?
You may register another alumnus as part of your registration. At the end of your registration you will be asked if you would like to add a guest. Indicate your guest's class year. If s/he is not celebrating a reunion year, s/he will be counted among the participants at your class dinner.

  4. I am not going to participate in one or more of the meals/sessions. Is there a discounted rate?
The registration fee covers all of the events and meals listed in the alumni weekend program, with the exception of your no-host class dinner. Alumni weekend uses a flat-fee model, aimed at covering costs associated with external vendors. We are unable to break down charges based on individual participation.

  5. I am not able to finalize my payment. What can I do?
When you complete your registration you will receive a confirmation email containing a link for failed payment. Use this link to return directly to the payment screen without re-registering for the event. Paypal is the chosen intermediary for processing major credit cards. It is not necessary to have a Paypal account to use the registration system. If you want to pay with your credit card, please select the “Pay with a Debit or Credit Card” button. If Paypal is not accepted in your country, please contact sais.eu.alumni@jhu.edu.

  6. Can the school help me make a hotel reservation?
Participants are asked to arrange their own accommodations. We have compiled a list of hotels that have worked with us for many years.

  7. Why does the school ask for both my home and professional contact information? Will students have access to my professional information?
The Alumni Affairs Office works to keep SAIS alumni connected with one another and with the school year-round. Your current home and professional contact information allow us to put you in touch with local alumni chapters and keep you informed of events in a targeted manner. The school does not share your contact information with students without your explicit permission.

  8. I am available to meet with students for career advising. How do I sign-up?
Career advising during alumni weekend presents a concrete way to give back to the school. The Career Services Office organizes thematic sessions with alumni and small groups of students. The time commitment is approximately 2 hours on Saturday afternoon at 5pm. At the end of your registration you will be invited to click a box indicating your availability. You will then be contacted via email.

  9. I would like to make a donation to the school. Can I do this as part of my registration?
Yes. The Alumni Weekend registration form includes a section for online gifts. You may elect to contribute to the SAIS Europe Annual Fund, or to another fund or class project by selecting “other” and filling out the blank field. Your gift will be added to your registration fee and processed as a single transaction. Please note that online gifts are tax-deductible in the USA and Canada. If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift to SAIS Europe from another country, please read the country-specific giving instructions here.

  10. I don't see my name under "Who's Coming"
Please check if you have completed your registration and received the email confirmation. Your name will not appear in the list until your payment is processed. If you have completed the registration, you may have inadvertently checked the box "Check this box if you wish to exclude your name from the attendees list published on this website." If you would like to change your preference or check the status of your registration, please contact us at sais.eu.alumni@jhu.edu.
